I don’t have much background in readings of any type, and I felt uncertain when I had my first reading in 2013, but I needn’t have worried. Miss Renée is approachable, warm, and real. No pretense, no vague utterances that you are then made to interpret to your liking. Instead, Renée gives specifics. She also shared the “why” and tells you what to Google if you want to learn on your own.i was living and working overseas and needed some perspective on a job I was planning to apply for. Renée told me so many things about my situation that were true and then provided information about the 6-12 months to come and was spot-on. She doesn’t leave things vague or try to hedge. Her insights are clear, specific, and lucid. She also is reassuring when the news isn’t 100 percent rosy.I’ve just had a reading for 2021 and she provided also info on 2022 and a little of 2023. How have I never reviewed Miss Renee before?! This woman is the REAL DEAL, and has helped me more than she will ever know. I’ve gone to her several times — a few times when I had a very specific question, and a handful of times when I just wanted to see what the cards were say.My mind was BLOWN each time. Miss Renée did an ‘natal chart with transits’ reading for us and I was very impressed with the fascinating insights and Miss Renée’s wealth of knowledge. We’ll be going back again soon! I saw miss Rene last July 2015. Needing her help to make a decision about moving from the West to East coast. She gives 100 percent during the reading but towards the end she didn’t Remember why I had come, what my big question was. Then she quickly said “Go to Massachsetts it will be great and is meant to be.”It turned out to be a pretty bad decision almost a year later I am heading back west. I don’t blame Miss Rene but I have lost all faith inPsychics and what they do.

I am grateful to be able to see her yesterday as my mind completely just fizzed out. I think I’m on my way to being on track again. She does not hold back. BEWARE. I think she asked permission to do so and I did. I wanted all the bad and good. How are you going to fix yourself if you don’t know what to fix? Going to her is like going to a psychic doctor. I wanted to hear it all. She hit just about everything on the nose. She knows where to zone in on the issues you need to work on.Like the other poster stated who was familiar with tarot , I pulled the same cards for myself in tarot… and being in the state of mind I was in, I wasn’t able to read myself. (hence I went to someone else- to have it all told to me) Her energy is strong. I felt her before the reading so I knew she knew I was coming down to see her. I wanted to go smudge myself but due to my living situation I couldn’t do it (plus I don’t tell people I do that) she did that to me before my reading. I knew I came to the right place. She does give you small homework to work on. I didn’t ask for a future reading-rather how to work on my current situation…I was more focused on what I needed to do to maintain things. She was accurate and all made sense. It feels odd that all the things I knew I needed to do she validated. I think she was surprised herself. If I didn’t go to her, I might have gone the wrong way in life. I do think this. Bring a recorder especially if you need to heal. Wish I did but this was a last minute appt. I wanted to give a good review on yelp because she deserves it. I do plan to come back. She’s good. Very good.

No words can describe what an amazing time I had with Raven. She not only knew everything going on with my work life, she also connected me with a friend I had lost, years before. She helped me make sense of so much, even what got me the most, was the fact she was able to channel my dog without me even mentioning him, down to his goofy features. Did I also mention she was aware of my upcoming vacation, and where I was headed? I was in shock and amazement.She also mentioned some crucial facts about my roommate and a recent life incident that had come up, which really surprised me. I have no doubt that Raven has a gift, and the fact she isn’t charging people an outrageous price shows just how much she wants to help people. I will definitely be back, without a doubt.

While staying with a friend in Portland, we found Raven on Yelp and thought we’d give it a try. I called the number listed and she was super helpful in squeezing us in before our flight out. She gave us two readings in her apartment, and knew things about each of us that were honest and surprising. I felt that she has a real talent and was able to reassure me in a time of my life where there is a lot of change. Let me first just state that I am not a skeptic by any means. But this woman is NOT as incredible as others have made her out to be at all. I will stay away from the ‘f’ word (fraud) but she is definitely not worth spending $30+ dollars on plus extras..She is unprofessional, and asks for “favors” from you before even meeting you (ie: buying her a candy bar and bringing it with you to your first session along with a vanilla latte from the local coffee shop….). I understand that some may think she has skills and insight beyond anyone else they have ever known, but maybe they just haven’t met the right people. Let me elaborate…First off, my late card reader from my home state said this: a person with a real gift will not extort the gift they have been given by overcharging and extorting those who need guidance, otherwise God would take it away. This was a man who right out of the gate only knew my first name and my zodiac sign, and was able to pinpoint exactly what had been going on in my life, what was shortly to come in the near future, and what was to come within the next 6 months.His rate: $25 w/recording of the reading provided for about an hour to an hour and a half. Didn’t not ask probing questions, just yes/no questions. I had also gone to a woman($36 for a half hour) who again, was professional and only probed the smallest amount in order to clarify a reading to a higher extent. Both of these readers were beyond exceptional. They were precise and made accurate predictions which required very little of my explanation of myself.Now that I moved to OR, I have been looking for someone who fits the bill for my card reader, skeptical about the authenticity though, due to so many swindlers up living up here. That’s when I checked Yelp, and after seeing that Raven was the cheapest ($30 cash), I thought that she might actually have a gift instead of just swindling people out of cash… This is what happened when I called to set my appt: First, she explained she was “the highest rated Yelp psychic” and when we got around to setting my appointment, she instructed me that I would have to go to the coffee shop close by to her, buy a medium vanilla latte (for her mind you and it could be taken out of the $30), tip $1 to the barista, ask for a key for her place, head to her apartment (she gave me directions), let myself in and we would have a one hour session with a tarot card reading, a runes reading, and a palm reading. Well, my day for my appt comes and she calls to reschedule for the next day due to a migraine. Ok, no big deal. Well, the day rolls around and as I was late getting off work, I call her to let her know because I don’t want to make her question if I am blowing her off. After she said it’s no big deal, she asked if I “could do her a favor” and buy her a candy bar. It didn’t matter what kind, as long as it isn’t Hershey’s and how it was “for the ritual”……. (first off, ANYONE can see THAT was a load of BS… but whatever, I am actually a nice person so I oblige). As I get to the coffee shop, I get the latte, get the key, head over and after waiting a few minutes for her to finish up with another client, (for the record, I was a half hour late…) we start the session. Kinda..See,the reading would have started, if it hadnt been for the four interruptions by her hand carry delivery guy, and the countless text msgs and phone calls taken. Plus she asked me to pay upfront (which I declined to do–you should NEVER DO). As we started the reading, she actually CONTINUED to TEXT THE ENTIRE TIME.The reading: she was vague and extremely general. She used terms and ideas that EVERYONE has in their life — relationships, work, stress and traveling. She did not touch on details at all in the same way I have experienced countless times before. Instead she kept asking me questions, rather than reading what the cards said. She didn’t even touch on the biggest thing on my mind right now which should have been in the cards: whether or not I should switch employment locations (I work in retail). After she read the 13 out of 72 tarot cards to me, she wanted me to ask more of a specific question so that she could decipher what the cards said (this is an old fraud’s trick…) and when I asked a general “what is going on with my job” she interpreted that to mean that I was wondering what was going on with my upline management and if mgmt was switching around. Nope. She kept missing the mark with EVERYTHING she was going over, including preference in what type of guy I like and that I highly value aesthetics (keep in mind I was well dressed so she was judging me based off of clothing). Then, she had me read this unrelated Runes bit about not over thinking things–again general..This experience ended in me paying $10 total (reduced cause of the disruptions), not including the coffee or candy. Anyone interested in TRUE insightful guidance, please pass on this one. Otherwise you will waste your time and money.

This place is awesome! Everything is clean, well kept, organized and displayed so beautifully. It’s also far larger than I was expecting. They have a cute photo booth at the entrance which prints you out four photos on a strip (one in color and one in black and white). They’re very forward with their pricing so there’s no surprises, and the women working today were very friendly and helpful!

I don’t want to write this and reveal one of my favorite secret spots… but I also love this business too much that I can’t help but support it.Psychic Sister is magic. I love it’s character, quirkiness and overall great vibes.The first section of the shop is very new age, and here’s you’ll find tarot decks, crystals, and incense, but what most folks don’t know is that the store has some of the best affordable vintage clothing. Between the crystal selection, feminist and witchy books, super reasonably priced secondhand clothes, and the tarot card selection – there’s always something that catches my eye. Larger than it appears at first this clever vintage, crystals and tarot store in the Alberta Arts District, Psychic Sister, is a nod to all things mystic and fashionable. The prices here are reasonable for well curated vintage clothing, particularly items that are well selected and in excellent condition. Creative thought has been given to the items on display and for sale here, down to the humorous vending machine in their side entryway. Not a lot of interaction with sales staff here probably due to the cavernous store, but they did help me when I requested a fitting room.A clever and interesting approach to retail. A fun place to browse and shop!

I was not expecting this store to be as expansive as it is, as my wife and I approached the door on the 19th Avenue side. Honestly, I think we were both expecting it to be not much more than a private booth for a tarot reader or psychic. Instead, what we found was a massive shop catering to esoterics and mystics, selling everything from crystals to clothing, tarot and trinkets, and audacious oddities. I guess that’s why *I* am not a psychic.Not a whole lot here caters to my personal tastes (fashion or otherwise), so I can’t contribute a whole lot of insight, when it comes to knowing what to look for here. I will say that the assortment of vintage clothing on sale was unique, interesting and stylish, and priced reasonably. The store is laid out in a manner than it fun to traverse and browse, clean, organized and air-conditioned, which is a big perk on a swelteringly hot day.It doesn’t take a psychic to foretell that aspiring witches, sorceresses and oracles are likely to find the whatever focus, fetish or frock they’re looking for here at Psychic Sister. Jenna was fantastic! I did a reading with a friend and her intuition and interpretation of the cards was spot on for both of us! We did it in a park which was perfect and she was very welcoming, personable, and fun! Can I give it six stars?! I have so many wonderful things to say about this place. It’s hands-down, one of my favorite shops in Portland! Every time I enter the store, it feels like a warm hug. The employees are very kind and always willing to help you, they have an amazing selection of metaphysical and spiritual tools, the crystals and crystal jewelry are phenomenal & they have an amazing selection of books and cards! I seriously cannot recommend this shop more! Every time I leave, I feel better than when I entered. So thankful for New Renaissance.

If you are a first time visitor, you are likely to have a good experience. But if you are someone who has been visiting since the early 90s like me, you will notice that the store has changed significantly and not for the better. The staff has gotten quite snooty of late, and the store now has a heavier focus on jewelry and gifts, rather than on metaphysical materials for the spiritual journey and for recovery. I used to love this place, but I don’t visit that often anymore, and when I do, I usually exit as quickly as possible because it’s just not a comfortable experience anymore.

I was in with my sister this past Saturday (10/28/23) and was followed the WHOLE entire time. The weather was cold out, like 30° (give or take) so I had a big puffy coat on and was profiled and followed the ENTIRE time by this older white woman with glasses and a limp and an older, short, white, bald man with glasses and a blue cost. I could hear them talking about me saying things like “which one is it?” and “where is she now?” And “I got eyes on her.” They literally followed me everywhere in the shop, I mean EVERYWHERE! This was a horrible, uncomfortable and unnecessary experience. The staff in this establishment NEED to take some Diversity Equity and Inclusion (DEI) courses ASAP before a lawsuit gets filed for discrimination. This is a serious matter and is absolutely not the way to run a business. This is really unfortunate because the establishment is absolutely adorable, and I would have loved to had the opportunity to be treated equally and actually shop without being followed and looked at as a thief. I bought a wonderful book for my partner, but not sure if I will ever go back due to the awful experience that I had being profiled, discriminated, and followed.

This store has a calm and relaxing vibe , which is a stark contrast from the hustle and bustle of 23rd . You are greeted with a whiff of great incense and essential oils when you enter ,coupled with the spiritual music playing , it instantly makes you feel welcome. I am not so much into spiritual books but this store really fascinates me with the rest of the stuff they sell – Incenses , essential oils , candles , crystals , water fountains , wind chimes ,jewelry ,artifacts ,soaps , teas etc. .It might feel a little cramped in there but I love the fact that there is so much variety .The employees are polite and helpful. The prices are on the higher side but there is something for everyone here . If you are looking to get something to make your place feel more Zen and relaxing , I would highly recommend checking them out .

Loved the vibe in here and that they made sure that everyone sanitized before touching any of the specimens. This is a darling little shop with a great selection of books regarding spirituality and astrology. They have tons of charming knick knacks, gifts, and crystals. I went close to closing time so I didn’t get to fully explore everything they have to offer because I ran out of time but I will definitely go back. Only took off 1 star because I’m a total rockhound and their prices are way higher than some local competitors. Other than high prices, this place is great. Its worth it to pay more sometimes to support local businesses.

Being it was my first time in Portland my sister and I strolled by this awesome shop. When you go in it is breathtaking full of beautiful things! Very neat with an amazing zen ambiance. We had lots of questions and Erica is an absolute delight. She was so knowledgeable, polite, and willing to take her time with us answering all of our questions as well as telling cool facts about our purchases. Everything was also greatly priced. I have been into ‘Keven on a number of occasions, and after raving about it in person to many friends I am finally getting around to reviewing it online.Erika and Tad have created a warm, funky, inviting, generally awesome space that I can stay in for hours. They create their own apothecary products (beard oil, soap, perfume, face serums, etc) and offer artwork, jewelry, and tons of other stuff by a variety local artists. There’s always something new to see, smell, or taste–they make their own tea blends as well!–when I stop by.Perhaps the best part about ‘Keven are Erika and Tad (and baby Freya, of course!) themselves. The first time I stopped in they greeted me warmly, and I ended up staying an hour (completely by choice!) talking to them about their business. They gave me a mini tour, gave me suggestions for how to find the right tarot deck for myself, and I ended up purchasing a perfume oil (Moher, which is amazing). I never felt rushed or pressured in any way. Recently I took the three-part beginner tarot class, and that was a super wonderful experience. I had no experience with tarot when I started, and by the end of the third and last session I felt ready to read for my friends and loved ones. It was a very accessible and rewarding class, and I met a lot of people in that class I probably would not have come across in my daily Eugenian life.Erika and Tad have created not only a business but a true meeting space for like-minded community members. I look forward to taking another class with them and would encourage everyone to check out ‘Keven.

My experience at ‘Keven was a special and wonderful one. My partner and I came in because we had heard nothing but wonderful things about the owners and their products from a close friend. When we walked in we immediately felt at home and began conversing with the owners while shopping. They were very helpful by providing information about each item and where it was from as well as what ingredients were in their homemade products. I absolutely love my protection room spray, white sage candle and lip balm that I purchased. My partner purchased a beautiful Tarot deck made by a woman living in Portland. Since we are new to owning a Tarot deck, the owner took her time in explaining how it works and even did a mini reading for us which was so generous. We spent nearly an hour in the shop and can’t wait to go back. This is a great place to treat yourself to local handmade gifts including essential oils, balms, handmade jewelry, organic clothing, hand painted shoes, art pieces, crystals, scarves, incense, dream catchers and so much more. If you are curious about Metaphysical stores or are just looking for organic skin care products for men and women then you should definitely give this place a try. They mentioned that they plan on hosting more classes in the future and I know I will be checking one out! Also, their parking lot sits in the back of the building so you don’t have to worry about street parking!

Coming into this tarot reading not knowing a thing about it, can be stressful, overwhelming, and even scary. I was not sure what to expect, but i wanted to have an open mind to it. I got the” Special Day” reading which was filled with insights of my past, present, and future. There are things that Sage spoke about in my life that had happened that she would have had no way of knowing! I was blown away after my first card was laid down and she had my full attention. I walk past here almost daily and told a friend and she gushed about how cute this store was and that we had to check it out. After checking it out I wish I had a better experience. The judgment, the vibe, the mood was all poor and mean. I expect much better things from a store of this kind. I’m let down by rudeness and decided to not purchase my things. I tried to ask the person working but they were busy so I set what I could back and left the rest in the basket disappointed. I probably will wave to the kitty on my walks but not return.

I’d been to this shop a few years ago and was excited to pop in and show my friend this spot while she was visiting town. I raved about the crystal selection, the herbs, and the sweet shop cat who roams around and greets guests.This time around, I was a bit disappointed. Upon entering, we weren’t greeted in a very friendly manner. We grabbed baskets and shopped for a bit, but after about 10 minutes, we both decided we were uncomfortable. The staff members were not very kind to us and we decided, when shopping for something so spiritual and personal, we did not want to buy products from a place where the energy felt so dark and unwelcoming. We put everything we had picked out back and left.

Lovely gem and crystal shop with secure Covid protocols in place.I only had 5-10 minutes to pick up a few pieces and I was able to walk away with 4 beautiful crystals.I’m new to crystals and needed help understanding what I was looking for–no problem. What a lovely little occult shop! I have been meaning to drop in here for awhile. They have an amazing array of stones, crystals, tarot decks and incense. I found some amazing incense for my home. Beautiful shop. Beautiful people. This place is just amazing! They have a huge selection of herbs, books, Crystal’s, cards, jewlry statues and more. As soon as you walk in you can feel the positive vibes. Have gone to a few metaphysical stores but this one is definitely my favorite. History: Sushila has dedicated over 20 years of her life to the study, cultivation and teaching of the tarot as a tool for empowerment and awakening. Having always been a Light Worker, she committed to the study of Reiki under Sensei Lauralea Adkins, receiving lineage transmission and the title of Sensei (Master Teacher) in 2011. Sushila holds certification in Indra Devi Hatha Yoga, Meditation, Reflexology, and Ayurveda Face Rejuvenation. She is a labor and delivery doula, and Ayurveda Post Partum doula; specializing in nutrition and pancha karma therapies for both mother and infant.

Sushila is an amazing healer and teacher. I’ve been to several people for Reiki, am now studying and working with it myself, and she is one of the best. I highly recommend her for all forms of readings, treatments, and advising. After dabbling with the cards for a bit, I went to Sushila for classes on the Tarot. Her teachings and support helped me to launch my own business as a reader, and her teachings have never left my mind. They have been extremely useful and helpful for both my clients and for myself. Incorporating the knowledge that I gained from her teachings about the symbolism of the cards with the other teachings I’ve since come across has proved to be very helpful. I am forever grateful for the work that I did with Sushila and I highly recommend her when you need some guidance and *especially* some Reiki healing.

Sushila is a gifted intuitive and Reiki Master. Her energy is kind and compassionate which compliments her abilities nicely. Her ability to tap into the powers that be, as well as create a space of loving kindness for one to receive, well it feels like sitting in a mothers lap while she gently strokes your hair and provides the wisdom of the ages… Basically she is amazing. Sarah is a powerful healer and intuitive. I received a reiki and tarot bundle from her and felt very refreshed and nourished afterwards, ready to step into the unknown with grace and power. Sarah is a wonderful reiki and sound healer as well as tarot card reader. I have done 3 sessions with her so far and planning to do more. I mostly do reiki and sound healing but have enjoyed the tarot reading as well. Every time I go to her, I am filled with a euphoric feeling. Good energy radiates through me better than a cup of coffee. The reiki is very easy to feel and its almost like she’s DJ-ing my energy to lift it higher. When she does sound healing its such a beautiful feeling as well. I feel like a plant receiving sunlight from many different musical sources. I have had chronic lower back pain but recently it has gone away and I’m feeling like the reiki is aiding in that pain relief a lot. It’s so nice to be supported, held and energetically loved in a time where touch is a tougher thing. She is very covid safe as well. We wear masks and she wears gloves. The tarot reading was a cool thing to try out. I opened my mind to area’s of focus my life has been needing and really enjoy her guiding me through the meanings of the cards. I highly recommend her!
