heard about this place from my cousin who did a group reading. I had no idea we had mediums in Rochester and actually turns out there is quite a few… but as far as feeling legit I feel this place has great ones. I havent been to the actual establishment and I would like to. I got a group reading together for my mom for mothers day and they came to my sisters home in irondequoit. I love that they are willing to travel. I think they do charge extra depending on how far they have to go.I was able to book a day over the phone and they had to get back to me while they checked each others schedule. it was going to be a dual reading with Susan and Connie. each person was able to have 15/20 minute readings for $45 each.When they start their reading they mention you can record it on your phone which was awesome cause its helpful to hear the readings again to see if you might have missed something. both mediums first explain what they are about and what to expect. Connie goes first and does the tarot card readings which felt pretty spot on to who am I as a person. then Susan would piggy back off of her reading sometimes connecting and sometimes it bringing her own connection separate from the cards. I felt from the reading with Susan I could immediately know who she was talking about. for the most part she was as specific as she could be which helped it feel it was accurate.after the reading everyone in the group felt for the most part a great connection and that Susan and connie were spot on with most of their own personal readings.I would love to do another reading as a personal one to get a different experience and hopefully get other family members to come through.

A person I had my appointment with claimed to be a medium, however she didn’t have any mediumship abilities, sadly. She was extremely nice and sweet, but it mostly a guessing game and tons of questions to me over and over. I was disappointed. This place is fake. Don’t waste your time.

Astrology: Easy 5 stars. I wish I could award 10 stars. I have had annual astrological forecasts drafted by professionals for me for several years. I have always found them useful and relatively accurate. This year, in addition to my usual forecast I also had Dale from the Purple Door draw one up for me. After giving her my birth date, time, and place, we made an appointment to go over the details. WOW! The life information, life patterns and trends, relationships, interests, ambitions that she pointed out in my chart were 100% accurate. She took me step by step through each feature of my chart and explained how the various alignments could effect my life situation. The detail was remarkable. She explained it all in easy to understand terms. I spent days digesting all of this important new information. Dale asked at the start of the interview if I would like to have it recorded. Fortunately, I agreed. I say “fortunately” because there was simply so much information that I needed the recording to go back and reference the various details. In my case, I am on the verge of a major life change. This astrological information will be very useful as I navigate my path forward. As I mentioned earlier, I have had many personal astrological forecasts over the years. Dale’s forecast was superior to any of them. In fact, this forecast is in a league all by itself.

I’ve been here twice…. and I love it here! I always see Cathy Miller. She is amazing. I know there are skeptics out there, but I am a believer. Cathy was quite accurate in some things she said to me. My loved ones who came through… there was no way Cathy could know about any of them. You don’t even give your last name when you make an appointment so they can’t “google” you ahead of time.Many of the things she said were true, and many have also come to fruition. She’s soft spoken and in no way theatrical.I’ve felt so much better after leaving the Purple Door. Questions were answered and I’ve felt more a peace, as I needed closure on some things.I highly recommend Purple Door if you are at all curious about psychic mediums. You won’t be disappointed.

I came here out of curiosity, and to bring my Mom for her birthday. I had never had a reading before, and either had she.We called and made an appointment. If you would like to see the owners of the establishment (Susan and Connie), who are published and highly respected, it may take more notice to get an appointment. We saw Cathi Miller. Our GPS had a difficult time finding the place, and kept rerouting. When you go to Winn-Jeff Plaza, the business is located on the side of the plaza, facing the bank. The shop seemed lovely on the inside, but we spent more time in our actual session that perusing the interior. I think I will return in the future, for either a session or a class. They offer an array of classes that can be found on their website. I had my feelings about seeing a medium at first, but during our session (that was meant for connecting with those who have passed) there were some validating and healing moments. I would recommend the Purple Door to anyone who is curious, or is in need of some time of closure.

What an experience! I came to the purple door with my mother-in-law for their once a month heart to heart session. A 20 min reading and a 20 min healing. Both the reader and the healer were very good! The reader was quite accurate with what she was reading and was able to give me such insight! She was really able to tune in, and picked up on things that were currently going on in my present life, not vague either. Both healing and readings are done privately and in separate rooms. Ive never felt so at peace before. The healing really was able to help me relax, and let go. Peaceful, relaxing music is played while you get tucked under cozy blankets and let the healer work her magic on you. The store also offers many different crystals and gemstones – all for a great price! They have them categorized by chakra with a description of each one. They print multiple little pages so you can take them home with you in case you forget the name of your stone. They also have beautiful jewelry, and many other interesting items inside! All fascinating to peek at. Curious in learning how to do it? They provide classes every month and have so many different types of classes to take, all for a very reasonable price. I won’t lie that I have been interested in learning more about my intuition:) There is always something new and fun happening at the purple door, their website and Facebook page stay up to date on all their events.

Went for a reading with my husband for a birthday gift to myself. I loved it! Place is inviting and was greeted as we walked in. Easy to get to with plenty of parking. Our readings were both so detailed. I was able to hear from my dad and was so comforting to get that message. Also had a tarot card reading at the end and really enjoyed that as well. It gave me good insight and things to be cautious of in my life . I will definitely go back!

My family and I have been to Cathy Miller 3 times so far over the last couple of years and I have an appt for this week. She has been amazingly spot on with our loved ones who have passed; confirming their presence around us. She provided details about our loved ones that were so detailed and unique! My husband and brother-in-law were very much non- believers when my sister and I took them BUT quickly became believers when details were discussed that were very impactful on who they are today! Very emotional! Cathy also provided details of a vision / visit I had about my mom following her passing and a b-day gift of a belt with a very unique buckle I had given my dad before his passing. She calmed my concerns and fears about my sons going away to college, pinpointed their strengths & spoke about my husband & my travel goals…. amazing!! I have lived all over the country as well as buying wholesale and the number one thing I can say about Mythic Treasures is their markup is not much more than wholesale unlike some places charging and arm and leg for stuff Mythic Treasures has truly fair prices some stuff I would rather get online still but alot of it is great.I feel bad because every time I am in there I see kids stealing so instead of buying everything I want I follow kids around like a creepy person to make them not steal and I am like wtf am I doing I don’t even work here but it’s really uncool that is happening and I wish people would realize when doing that, you have a one of a kind shop not found very many places let alone in Rochester and you should not do that because putting it out of business would be a damn shame. Whilst a lot of stock stays the same there is always new stock as well which makes it worth it to check out often, There is often new Gargoyles which are my thing and statues but their incense stays pretty much the same so you know you can get what you want and it will be fresh as they keep it well stocked and rotated. I love that they carry so much for artisans and local artists as well.The Tarot selection is better than any store I have ever been and the jewelry section is phenomenal.

Nice occult and pagan gift shop. A very large selection of items. We go often for various minerals and crystals, incense, etc. Prices can be hit or miss depending on the items – some things are priced high above their quality, others are very fair. Overall it’s a nice quiet place to browse through for various spiritual needs.

I’ve been to this new location a few times and it’s a slightly bigger space on Main Street. They have all your crystals, spell kits, tarot cards, candles, books and more.Staff is helpful and kind. When you look at crystals get a plate or basket take a form and remember to write down the code and name of the crystals. Make sure to put in your phone number to get discounts and etc.You can take classes and today there was a Reki practitioner telling you about her business and giving you a card with either a discount or a certain amount off your service.They have a shared lit and the street.

Looking for Californian white sage smudge sticks? How big? Are you an incense enthusiast? How about crystals? Mythic Treasures is a fantastic stop for all and more!Lordy knows how much I crush on crystal and stone jewelry. I’ve found some of my favorite bracelets, including a pretty tiger’s eye beaded one with an owl pendant. They also have a variety of mala prayer beads and pendulums. One of the things I enjoy when I visit the shop is to look at all the loose crystals and stones. They even have flash light pens to better analyze your choices! A number of bins have info cards with the benefits and properties of the crystal or stone. The higher quality ones such as moldavite and large quartz clusters are locked but on display. Same goes for the jewelry and collectibles. Other products you can find yet to be mentioned are salt lamps, tarot decks, prayer candles, votive candles, crystal grids, dried herbs, kava kava powder and much more. They are also available for readings. Not sure what the types are but I recommend you call ahead.I love their selection of smudge sticks and incense cones. Some of my favorites are the large Californian white sage stick ($8), 7 chakra stick ($7) and the Green Tree brand incense Palo santo & Californian white sage cones ($2.99 a box)…abalone shells are also available from time to time. Their regular size sage sticks are $3.Anyhoot. Probably my favourite local shop! Recently they launched a shoplocalli store to provide you with your energy clearing needs same day delivery during the current pandemic. PS…my newest favourite product…sage soap! And it smells aaahmaaaze!!!

Calling all my spooky babies…Mythic Treasures is a unique shop in the Village Gate that offers a wide variety of products and services. As you first walk in, there is all of their incense and sage on the right side. I was able to purchase 6-7 types of incense, sage, and a coffin style burner/holder for $22. The staff is very knowledgeable about the mythical purposes of the items in their shop, smudging, crystals, etc. You can also get tarot readings and reiki healing sessions here by some of the staff.I have been here several times, and you can also sign up for their rewards for future discounts. I have my eye on some of their gorgeous gemstone jewelry for a future purchase.

The fact that Elyse is spiritually connected and uses her gift to help people get a true healing feel, is what I really love. She’s done a few personal readings in total in the year that I’ve known her. She is totally on point and able to show me, or explain exactly what is going on in my life. She was to pinpoint emotional blocks and insights on how to break those down as well. My partner and I came here as part of his visit and exploration of Rochester and my first tarot reading. I bought the Groupons online and when we got there I was surprised to learned that Nico’s sessions were 30 minutes long and individual. As I waited 30 minutes, I found myself feeling conflicted because there wasn’t a spot to sit down that didn’t allow me to overhear his tarot reading but instead I had to pace back and forth in the store. Nevertheless, during my own reading, I find myself intellectualizing and unable to focus on the reading perhaps, due to my own strong skepticism of this trade. Moreover, I believe that a lot of what she was reading was based off of a solid understanding of generalizations and intuition of human behaviors and emotions; I felt that this was vindicated through her statement that tarot reading is meant to “validate” what you already feel and believe. As a result, I did not walk away with a new found understanding or great revelation but my partner did like his reading and found it “spot on”. Side note, apparently it is custom to tip after the reading, I did not know this.

I can’t express how much I enjoyed getting a reading by Nico. First off, her energy is so warm, light, & compelling that you feel relaxed in her presence. Secondly, she has a wonderfully designed Tarot deck influenced by Osho that have beautiful art on them. Thirdly, I made the strange mishap of picking up too many cards on two of the sections, and instead of making me redraw she said something that I thought was absolutely brilliant, she said something to the effect that she would try to read it as is because it seems that it was meant to be there. To me that just showed how open and unconventional her style is. Rather than try to change it to her liking, she decided to go with the flow and see what the hidden meaning and purpose for it being there was. I really thought that was great. Her reading was honest, yet positive and she has a wonderful soul.

I had a great reading with Vicki! My friend and I scheduled back-to-back sessions. It was something I was apprehensive, but curious to do. Despite some skepticism on my end, she made me feel comfortable during the reading, dove into some specific family references, and provided details that offered clarity and perspective. A great experience if you’re looking for more spiritual guidance. Come prepared with questions and be specific about your intention for the reading. It ended up being eye opening! The one piece of advice is to have an open mind. Her space is also a boutique stocked with crystals, essential oils, jewelry, books, etc.

Ok, we came in to check out the crystals and other treasures. We did not have a reading. The owners of this small store are lovely and helpful. Lots of nice crystals at good prices, tarot cards, other books and young living oils.
